R.I.P. Xen aka. Mike Leong

Hi Guys,
It's been a number of years since the days of playing Tribes, but I have tragic news for you all. Mid way through last week Mike Leong, known to us all as Xen, was found dead in his flat in Auckland. Xen originally met most of you whilst playing Tribes first as an adversary when he and I played for Malks, then as a founding member of AE, so many years ago. Personally, he was one of my best friends and I feel as though I have lost both a soul mate and brother.
For those who knew Mike, please have a read of the site that I have posted to celebrate Mike and describe how much I will miss him.

Please refrain from defacing this thread, Xen was a massive fan of Tribes and played both Tribes 1 and Tribes 2 throughout their most popular times and should be considered a comrade to us all.
I am sorry this is my first contact for so long, to deliver such a terrible message.

Updates from Beyond

Well hello fellow bittards,
It's almost Christmas and unfortunately we have not got around to doing anything that we said we would.
I can however tell you that we will be shortly moving hosts and making some changes to the website.
It will no longer be the monstrosity you see before you.
It will be a basic bittah forum.
It will still look like bittah, but without all the bells/whistles and moving parts.
It will be a forum.
The latest, PHPBB3.
- The IRC server will most likely stay.
- The bittah.com Game Servers will be decommissioned.
- The bittah.com Teamspeak server will be decommissioned.
[On the plus side]
Anyone wanting an email address can have one aswell.
Details to come regarding that.
(P.S. You abuse it you lose it.)
I'd like to take a moment to thank all the old school crowd who put so much effort into this site, unfortunately, we just cannot continue to maintain it in it's current state.
Hence the change to a simple forum.

Rav and Blakes Birthday

As you know, we are all getting on in years and the time has come for me and Blake to celebrate the end of our decade of hedonism and debauchery. In commiseration of this passing we are gathering at the Establishment on the 3rd of May to party for the last time in our 20's and it is only fitting that a rag tag band of Tribers attend. Please reply to me via email or post here if you are coming so I can put your name on the guest list.

Well another year has passed, another set of New Years Resolutions to break !
We all a little bit older, and perhaps wiser, LOL.
Things to come in 2008***;
- Moving the site to an independent server.
- Creating a new and ACTIVE admin team.
- Some new News writers and reviewers.
- bittah.com email addresses for members.
- Content changes, and some new development to the site.
- File mirrors.
- and much, much more.
(*** a meeting of the minds to confirm all this will be happening shortly.)

Domain Name madness

Apologies for the downtime.
Due to a massive screw up by me and associated parties, we could not get the domain renewed.
Took us a few days to sort out who and what went where.
All fixed now (for another year)
