Will SS2845 provide an auto-update functionality, even in the primitive form of notifying users of available updates? Will you be allowed to provide ongoing patches for the game, and if so, what updates do you think you would supply (bug fixes only, or game enhancements)?
Can't really comment on this at present. Code wise it should be easy to implement but seeing as how we are turning the game over to VU Games once we are done, they would have to be the ones to support it and this isn't something that we've discussed yet. One thing I can say is the game will be released in two stages; the multiplayer will be released this year and the single player campaign will be released at a later date as an add-on most likely sometime next near. The campaign will take a lot more time to finish due to the elaborate scripting involved and such things as rendered cut scenes and voice work, so the decision was made to break up the releases to give us some breathing room. Remember we are working on this in our spare time, with no budget, over the internet. So unfortunately these things take much longer to do than if this was our primary job.

You mention in previous articles you are going for a strong style of gameplay, if patches were to be utilized would you be altering gameplay on a per patch basis? Obviously this is a hard one to speculate on, but do you think you are going to try and keep the gameplay as is upon release, apart from fixing major gameplay issues of course.
Obviously we will be trying to keep gameplay as is upon release. We do not subscribe to the "release now, fix later" methodology that unfortunately inflicts a lot of the gaming industry these days. There may be some tweaks to various things based on feedback we receive but overall we won't be drastically changing the main gametypes via patches.
Would you ever consider releasing the ATR source code and/or release the T:V mod build now that it has been made obsolete?
Per request, we're planning on releasing some of the vehicle code we came up with to the T:V community at large, probably by the time this makes it to print or shortly thereafter. We will not be releasing the full ATR source code for the very reason that it is now obsolete, and others.
