Of course its not gameplay, but it shows what the graphics engine is capable of. Every other Total war game has been full of these, and they're always win. The most recent, Napoleon, looked superb ingame. THis video shows that Shogun 2 has gone further again, and looks hottttttt.

Yeah the first shogun was cool, watching the spy clips was brutal when they succeeded and hell funny when they lost. Hopefully thats back.
The rest was just blob wars which is fine on an epic scale but id still like a mount and blade style FPS action on the ground.
have you played Empire dj? _________________ Make those forensic guys work like WHORES

yeah, its a very pretty engine. just a little irritated that i didn't get to see any gameplay in a gameplay trailer. it is however a victory for game trailers and their SEO.
If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a 'zoo'! ... Unless it's a farm!

I played SHogun but not a lot of it. SPent more time in Rome & Medieval, and actually would love a new one of either of those next.
I played a little bit of Empire, but it's a period of time I'm not really into so much.
I really liked Napoleon though, some of the historical battles were awesome, and the level of detail is amazing. I'm not by any means a hardcore player with these type of games though, so inevitably find myself a bit lost in the campaign, when im trying to manage tons of cities etc.
One thing about the TW games that i have never been a huge fan of, is starting each battle in a huge line, army vs army. I just find that i get too impatient and have my guys run at the enemy, and the tactics are slow and plodding. I prefer faster style RTS like dawn of war - but TW has its place - particularly when it's in a theme i like.
