Left 4 Dead: You know its thriller, thriller night...

Holy **** this game rocks, havn't played a demo this much since bf42 wake island.
Its pretty much elements of hl mods Zombie Panic! and Zombie Master thrown together in a nice, polished package.

Comes out on steam 18th November and the demo should be on steam now, check it out!

Yeah its win, I've been playing the demo quite a bit with my flatmates and this fag called 'Sarge' who im pretty sure has shotgunned me in the arse a few times >_<

Its an awesome game, realy looking forward the full version and the full maps. the tank and the witch on expert are such a ******* lol mission to kill but finishing the demo on expert with mates feels very satisfying each time so the full game will rox my sox.

If anybody else is rocking out on the demo and keen for some games add 'Larno' to you steam friends list or join the bittah group.

I will be getting this, have not played the demo yet but it looks like a lot of fun. Is it worth getting via Steam or will retail copies be potentially cheaper (sometimes AU players get shafted on steam)? I have not re-installed Steam since formatting about a month ago, I probably should get around to doing that icon_smile.gif

It was $44 USD on steam, better than the $100 it would be in shops here imo & you got access to the demo (although i think they have public released it now or wil shortly).

How have you guys been with crashes? Mine will crash or freeze every session, doesnt seem as quad friendly where 1 core will be 100% and the rest only like 10-15%

Few crashes here too after a couple of hours of playing. Stall with a sound loop, generally everytime I reload my weapon. nfi why.

Pre-purchase from steam @ 44bux turned out to be ~65AUD. Pre-load hasnt started for the actual game yet either, so depending on your connection, you might be in the game quicker if you just buy it from a shop, despite paying an extra 10bux or whatever. JB will almost certainly offer it for a usual $79 like always.

ps: pull down the console and punch in 'openserverbrowser' to get rid of the console cancer matchmaking bullshit.

Demo is 1.1gig, expands to 3.2gig

No idea if the retail version will piggyback onto the demo, to save re-downloading assets. Tho it is a bit weird valve not opening up pre-load so close to release.

Public demo released on 11 Nov (US time, early 12 here)

Then game on 18 Nov (19 here?), and valve said that's when the demo would close - I took that to mean you won't be able to play just the demo, you'll have to buy the game. Cheapskate valve ...

^^ Yeh some awesome games last night, altho it was on expert level i think you really need some hardcaw delta force organization & voice coms to even see a final mission of a chapter icon_razz.gif

It has the same addictiveness that bf1942 wake and bf2 oman demos had where even if your playing the same map over and over, its different enough you dont even care about the map setting like if you were playing paintball or lasertag etc.

I. Don't. Know. The demo didn't leave much of an impression on me. Sure the production values were good but I certainly didn't feel compelled to play it again

Do you think its worth buying? Like - does the game offer more than the demo? I do like the way it forces you to work together - watching all angles etc, also like the thought of being the zombies and wtfpwning plebs like Larns etc

Yes and yes. DJ the levels are pretty huge and have a lot of replayability, not to mention how many custom maps the community will no doubt come up with...

Game is awesome.

totally worth buying, there are 20 levels over 4 chapters in the retail version all with huge amounts of replay value as no game is ever the same twice. Bump up the difficulty and trow in some Vs games and you have a winner.

I was playing that hospital rooftop level last night (can't remember the name) with my housemate on hard and it took us about 20 attempts to get to the damn helicopter. The game was throwing tank after tank at us. Was insanely fun though icon_smile.gif

looks good, will buy it here before i go back as PC games inparticular seem to be a bit cheaper in the UK. This is 25 pounds in stores which is around AU$58
