since megaupload is gone, youtube whinges about music and china still has a firewall now might be a good time to re-launch nextys old site.

i've moved all the t1,t2,tv clips and will try to get a safe public ftp happening and something better than an autoindex script to browse through the goodness.
in the meantime if you know of any standout clips post em here thx

Tribes Ascend player interviews - we need you!

Hi guys,
I'm the Deputy Editor of PC PowerPlay magazine and we're running an article on Ascend in our upcoming issue. As well as interviewing the devs and playing the beta myself, I'd like to hear from the hardcore Aussie Tribes community about the game, as I don't have the competitive history with the series myself to do the game justice.
With that in mind, I'd love it if some of you could take a minute to answer these few questions for me. I'll be quoting you in the magazine (as your forum handle, or if you have a Tribes handle you'd prefer, or even your real name, let me know in your post!) as well as mentioning this community site in general.
Now, the questions!
- Give a brief overview of your competitive history with the Tribes series.
- From a competitive standpoint, what it is that you feel makes the Tribes series unique and compelling?
- From what you've played of the Ascend beta, do you feel Hi-Rez Studios has captured those unique or compelling aspects?
- What has Hi-Rez added to Tribes gameplay in Ascend that you feel is an improvement upon previous Tribes titles?
- Is there anything from previous Tribes titles that Hi-Rez left out of Ascend which you sorely miss?
- How do you feel Ascend will catch on with both the competitive and public crowds when it goes live?

first real piece of information, what little there is, from the owners of the tribes IP Hi-rez studios
looks like they are planning to release the newly announced Tribes Ascend as a more regular multiplayer shooter that will lead into the FPSMMO Tribes Universe...this is good for those scared it would be really MMOish
so in a way this is kinda tribes 3 rather than a fpsmmo which is good, particularly if it will tie into the mmo style game
a great thing is that this decision was undoubtably influenced by the active voices on the tribes universe forums and them realising this is what people want along with the FPSMMO thing thats more of an unknown
